In the first half of our lives, we run after wealth sacrificing health. In the second half of our lives, we run after health sacrificing wealth !
Most of us go for education only with a focus on employment. We generally get so busy chasing money and status that we spend our early lives without any health consciousness. Our priority in these early days of our lives is not “well being”, but “wealth being”.
As we spend our days without giving any quality attention to our body, one day we are suddenly awakened by the emergence of blood pressure or a diabetes or a heart attack. Once taken ill, we run to medical practitioners and chemists and become dependent on them for our health. No wonder, there are lots of people in and around consulting rooms of doctors and hospitals.
In fact, none of our illnesses are ‘sudden’. We acquire illnesses over a long period through our wrong life style, viz. junk food, over eating, parties, lack of exercise, smoking, drinking, stressful living, etc.
Health is natural and sickness requires lot of efforts !
Our body does not relish our abuses and backfires by giving us a disease. By this, our body only tries to sensitize us. Instead of getting sensitized, we simply opt for some medicines. The medicines just desensitize our body for sometime. And once the effect of the tablets vanishes, the body again wakes up to re-sensitize us, this little time more severely.
This cycle of our trying to de-sensitize our body with medicines and the body trying to re-sensitize us with illnesses, continues throughout our lives without ourselves getting any real cure.
The sane and correct thing to do would be to listen to the message of our body and sensitize ourselves and change our life style. And this is what our body wants. This is what the nature wants you to do. The day we do it, we get in harmony with our body’s desire and from that day we can hope to lead a healthy life.
There is thus an urgent need for us to change ourselves from being passive consumers of medicines to becoming informed human beings. We need to take responsibility to our health and feel in charge of our well being.
This book is meant to make you just that.
It tries to gives you the total inside information on your health. And because till you modify yourself, you could fall ill from time to time, this book also tells you in part II as to how to make your own medicines with what has been provided by nature in and around your house.
This is a book that you would never finish reading. You would be reading it over and over again and again. You would be referring to it for guidance whenever you have a problem. And every time you refer to it, you would have a new sense of life !
